I feel I must comment
I have read many criticisms of the new Star Trek trailer. While I don't think it's perfect, I really have no serious problems with it. The Star Trek franchise needs a total reboot, as there hasn't been a good Trek movie since First Contact, and that was 12 years ago. They've been complete and utter dreck since then. I'm not saying that I will automatically like the movie when it comes out, but I simply feel that they can't continue making terrible Star Trek movies again and again. Let's see how this goes, then we'll decide whether or not to continue with the franchise.

Hi Pharminator. I made it to your blog. I will also comment on the Star Trek trailer. As a trailer on its own I think it looks cool. And the film certainly looks much better than some of the recent Star Trek films. This looks like a refreshing step in the right direction.
